Vote for Nichole M. Thompson

for District Judge

I am running for a 6-year term as Magisterial District Judge 32-1-32. Those fortunate enough to be elected to the prestigious office of Magisterial District Judge have a duty to not only uphold the law, but make carefully thought out decisions that will undoubtedly impact many people's lives. I have seen what happens to people and families after a member is sentenced to incarceration, to property owner's dealing with squatters causing thousands of dollars in damage and unpaid rent, or contractors performing work and not receiving payment, or drivers in desperate need of keeping and/or restoring their driver's privilege. In my many years of practice, I have fought hard for people in similar situations, both Plaintiffs, Defendants and alleged victims. I have put forth reasonable solutions to countless cases that made all parties whole, reduced unnecessary litigation and in some cases, caused the Court to adopt new policies or programs that are used to resolve cases in a more efficient manner. Having more than 16 years in law practice, I am well-equipped to provide common sense resolutions to cases and make sound court rulings and decisions.

Magisterial District Judge Duties:

  • Preliminary Arraignments
  • Bail Hearings
  • Preliminary Hearings for Criminal Cases
  • Civil Litigation up to $12,000
  • Traffic Hearings
  • Non-Traffic Summary Citations
